Hey Friend!
I hope you had a great weekend 😊
So lately I’ve been reflecting on 3 things:
When it comes to the things we enjoy, there will always be something we have to do that’s not so enjoyable.
For me, I love doing studio photoshoots. But editing is my not-so-enjoyable thing in my passion for photography. BUT I know I can think of a creative way to enjoy the editing process.
For example, I got creative with this photo from a recent session and added a moon in the background. It's a small thing but it made me enjoy editing!
Creativity is a muscle that needs to be “worked out” to get stronger.
You can be creative with anything and everything you do.
Whether you work at a school, or as an accountant, or even at a Dunkin Donuts.
So with that being said, I invite you to view yourself as an artist.
Because if you’re creative, and the best way to get better at being creative is by creating (or working out that muscle), then it makes PERFECT sense to look at yourself as an artist! 😃
Ok so now that you’re an artist, there are 3 things all artists do that I want you to consider doing in your boring everyday tasks.
Artists have a keen eye for detail. They observe the world around them, taking in colors, shapes, emotions, etc.
So in your boring tasks, whether it's filing reports or making a latte, take a moment to observe the details of your work. And ponder on what the heck makes it so boring! Lol
Notice the nuances, the patterns, and the interactions between people. Take note of your senses. For instance, ask yourself questions like:
I bet there are a million and 1 things you can complain about, but that’s not what I want you to focus on.
Once you’ve done some observing, get inspired!
Get your creative juices flowing by finding new ways to complete boring tasks.
Remember: Look at your work from the perspective of an artist.
Get inspired by researching how other people do that task. Take note of how they make it easier and more enjoyable.
Then get creative with it! Sometimes the solution can be to:
My intention is to help you make money from your passion.
And when you start using your creativity, things become more enjoyable.
And when you enjoy your work, you do more work, you do better work, and ultimately you make more money!
That's all for this week!

Kyra

Hey dude! Let me tell you about a lesson I learned over the weekend. You have to subtract...before you add! 😂 My math isn't correct according to PEMDAS but stay with me! I went clothes shopping on Black Friday. I'm not the type to participate in Black Friday, but I've recently lost weight so I had to get new clothes. I'm a "this will do" type of person when it comes to clothes. Most of my clothes are "functional" rather than fashionable, black (probably because I'm a photographer), and I've...
Hey dude! Do you ever hear people online say "You have to give lots of valuable content to grow on social media!" but you have no idea what to post about in the first place? Yeah, I've dealt with that a lot. Enough times to know what the solution is! It all starts with your personal brand. A personal brand is your reputation (i.e. the thing you're known for). It's also: The personality behind your content The reason why people follow you What makes people buy from you A successful brand stems...
